The Mastermind (2025) - Sometimes a story is just a story. Although this one is hard to sit through, a mixture of uneasiness and boredom. But very stylish, both in image and sound. ★★★ 🍿

A great read if you‘re into horror movies or would like to understand the appeal of them. Or if you still feel (like me) like this is something you would hide from other people 📖

Strange little movie. Stylish and mostly slow burning. Apparently this is about online „crime“ having real-life consequences. But for me this is rather ineffective since the unlikable protagonist doesn’t yet do anything illegal (more like unfair or questionable). So why the escalation? 🍿

After Covid and a phasing out period of short breath I can finally run again. A deer and a fox both crossed my way, of course both separate from each other.

Just finished Stephen Kings „On Writing“ and again realize he‘s my favorite writer. The stories just absorb me and I always look forward to continue reading them. Also reminded me of a weird phase from the mid 90‘s to around 2007 where I apparently didn‘t read much at all for unknown reasons 📖

I prefer mini series but with this quality and creativity I don‘t mind watching more and more seasons of it. Such a unique and fascinating watch!

This is the time of the year where I don‘t mind getting up early, enjoying the silence while everybody else is still asleep. Only the Christmas lights are turned on and I watch or read about possible new (ad)ventures. I actively enjoy it, knowing the regular hustle will settle in soon enough again.

Freezing cold and clear night but no white Christmas.

Had an idea how to rearrange one shelf in our studio. Turned out to be 6-hour madness and I‘m still not done.

As a D&D player I finally understand why Gandalf doesn‘t do more to help in dire situations. Little cantrips, yes. But he has limited spell slots.

A couple of months ago I found the perfect T-Shirt for me. I purchased about 15 and use them as a daily driver. It‘s lightweight, doesn‘t wrinkle in the dryer and they‘re all black. They make me happy everyday.

Being sick, isolated and bored is a breeding ground for creativity. The flow is going to hit any moment, I can literally feel it. Ideas are flooding my somewhat-clouded brain. They will come out but I have no control over what it’s going to be. It‘s a mix of excitement and anxiety. It‘s anxietment.

Perks of being sick at home: bingeing Lord of the Rings 1-3. The extended edition. Almost 12 hours of Frodos overly exhausted face 🍿

🍿What a trip. Absolutely mesmerizing and now I need some time to process it.

I don‘t own an Apple Watch but if I‘d do, I‘d buy this Tiny Pod 😍

📺 Digusting, disturbing, surreal.

🍿Beat Street is my second favorite Christmas movie. I hope they‘ll release a nice 4K scan soon. The Blu-ray also has the original trailer featuring almost entirely different scenes that are not in the movie. I‘d love to see those in an extended edition 🙏

Cute plush bag of holding as a secret santa gift for one of my Dungeons and Dragons friends. Her character has an actual bag of holding, so I hope she really likes this tiny version of it.
